Pharmacokinetics Of Enoxaparin Sodium
Nov 16, 2021
The maximum effect time of subcutaneous injection of enoxaparin sodium is 3 to 5 hours, the duration is 24 hours, and the bioavailability is 92%, which depends on the activity of anticoagulant factor Xa. Animal studies have shown that enoxaparin sodium selectively accumulates in the kidney, liver and spleen, with a volume of distribution (Vd) of 6-7L/kg. Its half-life is 4.5h (3-6h) on average, 6-7h for the elderly, and an average of 1.7 times longer in patients with renal failure. The kidneys are the basic route of excretion of enoxaparin sodium, mainly through glomerular filtration.
