Precautions For Using Palonosetron Hydrochloride Injection

Allergic reactions may occur in people who are allergic to other selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonists.

At the dose level studied in foreign clinical trials, Palonosetron has not been observed to cause clinically significant QTc interval prolongation. Palonosetron was evaluated in a double-blind, randomized, parallel, placebo-controlled and positive control (moxifloxacin) complete QT/QTc study in 221 healthy adult male and female volunteers The impact on the QTc interval. The results showed that no effects on QTc interval and other ECG were observed at doses of 0.25, 0.75, and 2.25 mg, and no clinically significant changes in heart rate, atrioventricular conduction and cardiac repolarization were observed. However, based on the information on the use of other 5-HT3 receptor antagonists, palonosetron should be used with caution in patients with concomitant use of drugs that prolong the QT interval and who are or may develop a prolonged QR interval. These patients include: those with hypokalemia or hypomagnesemia, those with electrolyte abnormalities caused by the use of diuretics, patients with congenital long QT syndrome, and those with antiarrhythmic drugs or other drugs that can lead to prolonged QT interval , And given cumulative high-dose anthracycline therapy.

Palonosetron hydrochloride injection cannot be mixed with other drugs, so normal saline should be used to flush the infusion line before and after the use of Palonosetron injection.
